Lomochrome Purple
A while back I was gifted a roll of Lomography’s own Lomochrome Purple XR colour film in 35mm. It has sat in my film fridge for a long time, as I pondered how and when it might be appropriate to break out and actually use. The roll I have is the “2019 new formula” edition, I couldn’t say exactly what they had changed however in my research found the film would render my blues a nice turquoise/green, while my greens turn purple & yellows a punchy pink - most excited for the results on vegetation I decided to go and explore some bodies of water close to home. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement, going into it I did not think this would be a film for me, but now i’m thinking I will need to update the shop with at least one of these that I will keep from sharing for now at least… Stay tuned!
Technical details I rated these shots to 400iso, and as always develop and scan from the legends over at Ikigai Film Lab check out the results below!
